the new eagle

I have been listening to the Eagle since it first came on the air and love it! At least they don't play that new wave rock as much as the point did. I have nothing against duran duran, but man, they were playing too much synthesized rock on the point at times. I love the 70's and enjoy the music of that era.

The station is okay. It isn't what I want but they can't suck worse than WTAK that's for sure.

The only time I want to hear New Wave is when I am playing GTA Vice City, not on a real FM station.

The '70s and the '90s are the two time periods I want to come back to if I had a time machine. The 2000s and the '80s seems to be the same decade at times to me, except now cell phones aren't the size of bricks like they were in the '80s.

Hey, I haven't heard Aerosmith on the Eagle yet! OK, I'm sure they play them, but if it were WTAK, I would have heard them a couple dozen times by now. :)

The Vice City soundtrack rules. San Andreas, not so much so.

And now we can use high speed Internet with unlimited access to bitch about radio instead of incurring long distance charges on a 300 baud BBS.

And the reality TV in this decade is much better. That's Incredible? Come on, That Sucked.

But our current stumblebum President doesn't even have neat old-time Hollywood stories to fall back on when he's flustered like Reagan did.

Also, you didn't have to take out a loan to buy gas back then, unlike now.

Beyond that, yeah, they're not really that different. That's why "That 80s Show" flopped, it might as well have been set in 2001. Nobody would've known the difference.
