Looks like Cumulus isn’t planning to kill off Hot 93.3 after all! I’m guessing an LMA until they can purchase 98.7 from Audacy. It didn’t work on 93.3, so maybe it will on a Cedar Hill stick!
Of course, I’m just kidding!! This is an issue that happens with my car radio when the station has a long station name and doesn’t use their calls, followed by the optional -FM suffix or a 5 letter/digit station name. My car radio can’t display long station names and it’s like the radio gets confused when trying to pull an archived station logo. The only stations that use long names in DFW are 92.5, 94.5 and 98.7 and these are the only stations that have the issue with the wrong archived logo being pulled.
