The "New" KDOC

I'm very curious. Has anyone else in the SoCal area been watching the past two weeks. Personally, I'm very impressed by what I've seen so far. The shows look great! I've never seen most of the original "Untouchables" until now. And looking ahead at the upcoming schedule, they are happily chipping away at the alloted "Paid Programming" time. Starting this week, the regular Friday schedule will go from 9am-2:30am Saturday morning!!

The first weekend of the "new KDOC" did get off to a shaky start. It seems Sony Television was late in delivering "The Rat Patrol" and the Columbia Pictures titles to the station. They had to be replaced with random episodes of "Combat" "The Untouchables" and "Alfred Hitchcock". But eveything is in place now. The movies the station has gotten ahold of will air Friday late nights from 12:30am-2:30am and repeat on Sunday nights from 8-10pm. And quite an interesting selection they've chosen. I don't believe these have been seen on broadcast or cable TV in more than a few years.

Sept 24 -- "For Pete's Sake" (1973) Barbara Striesand

Sept. 29 and Oct 1 -- "The Stone Garden" (1973) Charles Bronson

Oct. 6 and 8 -- "Berserk!" (1968) -- Joan Crawford

I'm looking forward to even less infomercial time on KDOC in the very near future! ;D

I'm about a thousand miles away, but did see their schedule online, and went to the web site. Unique logo.

My question: Is the "Best of Johnny Carson" the same as the "Carson's Comedy Classics" that were packaged in the '80s? Or is this a new compilation?
