Since the format change happened over the weekend I'm suprised nobody has posted anything.

Morning Show gone... Max who is now "ryan" is PD... "the rob" still doing nights...

The stream sounds good.. but, geez they've already been CHR, that didn't work, then CHR-R that didn't work, so of course the brain child is going to try CHR again... ughh.... ???
 
So...Since I've been tied up with a national basketball tournament and have not tuned in, tell me... It's the "New-OLD-Kiss106"???? Right???? :p
 
I'm not sure how they're imaging. The jock called them "The New 106 Point Kiss FM". A sweeper called it "106 point 1 Kiss FM"
Then the jock called it "The new 106 one Kiss FM" on his next break. I don't think they know how they're imaging either ???

EDIT: I listened to another break and it sounds like The New 106 1 Kiss FM, not 106 Point. I didn't understand him the first three breaks :-\

Certainly not rhythmic at all.

Hope the tourney is going well skip :)
 
They need to give it up(CHR)

Look Regent, go against WIKY with a Hot AC format. This time do the damn thing right. Get a syndied morning show(no Bob and Sheri though) and VT nights if you have to(you can still have a Afternoon show live and probably should have a midday show live. Primarly focus on Today's adult sounds(Daughtry, Taylor Swift, Buckcherry, Linkin Park) 90s stuff is ok as long as you stick to primarly mod ac material, the 80s stuff, eh mabye but I would be VERY cautious as to what I'd play from the 80s, reserve most of that stuff for a specialty show.)

ACs bill better then top 40, plus you will no longer have that "black station" stigma.

Regent couldn't put a dent in WIKY with 105.3 and that had an equal signal. What makes you think it's possible with a Class A and no budget? By the way the stock price at the end of trading yesterday (3/18) was $0.97/share. With that in mind don't expect much from 106.1 or any Regent property.
 
No surprise they's be dorkin' up their identifiers given their penchent for detail and overall burbcasting skilz. Have they registered KISS@marina-point-one?

"LST-106", hire some retired 'Radio Caroline' and 'Radio North Sea' Jocks from England and cruise between Owensboro-Evansville and Henderson!?

One flaw in the plan. The ship would have to have a tall mast for the antenna bays so going under the twin bridges, the blue bridge and assorted power cables would be a problem. Now if you move it to AM you could tune a short tower with cap hat to produce a decent signal. Best of all, the Ohio River is blessed many conductive material in its content so the ground wave should be awesome up and down the river!
 
The problem is the name. They need to dump the name KISS for something that will seperate it from its odd and format of the month past. I would switch to MY 106.1 - Today's Best Variety or dare I say MIX 106.1 - The Best Music Mix.

Then focus on being a hip Hot AC. Playing more 2000 to now and diving into the 90's maybe 2 times an hour max. Keep the 80's for a retro lunch and Kidd Kelley.

I guess they are experimenting with losing in ratings and sales again. If STO did go hispanic or religious, they would still probably fare better because they finds ways to interact with their listeners other than going out to parties and setting up in front of bar...
 
The website is boring. I wonder if this "New" Kiss is temporary which could explain the lack of detail.

Bottom line is Kiss is dead in the water. They need to get on the streets and get noticed instead of relying on the tuner stopping on 106.1 in scan mode and the occasional billboard.
 
Hey "EP"... Nope.. Never worked there in the Regent wing... "CC" until OCU got too busy... Who's Joe Bell?? Never remembered him.. But, I was not doing radio beyond Youth Inc's LPFM for green hair and blue fignernailed youth.... A LOT ON THE BURNER that is moving to the front.. Just have to be hush-hush, for now... After 10 years of part time and laying low.. A return to full time, plus, is more than likely in one of three directions or parts thereof.. Two would be here in the home market and one way out in the northwest in some small market of 2m, plus.. But, I am at the age, I don't want to move and leave aging family behind.... Love doing OCU games on TOC's 102.3, as well.. Later!
