The new Kkdj

Well let me be clear I have no affiliation with the station in any way just a retired engineer and a radio buff. I have been to the station talked with Mr Walker great guy I have been a long time fan of his . I ask about ownership although he tells me he first contacted Mr Cocola he was interviews by both Mr Cocola and Mr White and hired as their general manager and morning air personality . He told me that he has free reign there to grow the station. As for a hobby station I asked Mr Walker and he said no that Mr White was putting a lot of money into this venture. Mr Walker also let me know after I ask him who has the station that Mr White and his Corporation is the sole owner however he and Mr Cocola are life long friends. According to Mr Walker both Mr Cocola and Mr White have a lot of money and although Mr Cocola is involved it’s Mr White who is funding the station and he is very financially stable.
I am so happy to have John Lee Walker on in the morning and the music is great!! So much better than that Porterville ? Hooterville station.

Well then, move to Pixley.

Strong tropo conditions tonight all I get on 99.7 is KIOO Porterville in Clovis and sounds clear like a local station.

Good olives too.

Yes good olives, but I spell olives O-B-E-R-T-I like Al Radka used to say.
And on reception from Crabwell Corner I left out FM, a channel on every Freq from many markets including Bakersfield, SLO, Visalia-Tulare, Fresno, and even Los Angeles like 95.5 KLOS.

It's actually a pretty sweet spot for AM too. 580,940,1180,1560 sound like locals plus all the smaller Tulare county stations. Due to low RF out in the sticks a good radio still gets ground wave from San Francisco and Los Angeles but yet is still far enough away from both for good skywave at night.

Try the Beer Olives, the ones with the pits.

Wow as I have been home I have been listening all morning to John Lee Walker I love the music is sure is a refreshing change Station sounds so clear and the classic rock is a great mix of songs !! Glad to have another choice in Fresno Kudos John Lee your station is a winner!
Wow I’m really impressed now Kkdj is carrying The Blues Societies blues show with Jim Castleman on Sunday wow I love it

The reception so great in Crabwell Corner out in the open not clogged with inter city lp-fms, 99.7 KIOO is perfect and so is KZPO 103.3 and plenty of everything over the air, perfect location, and the beer olives are awesome.

Perfect tonight at home in Clovis is KIOO Porterville, it's that way most of the time, less repeats, Much bigger playlist that plays music not heard on Fresno stations .Maybe jlw said fts it's not going anywhere.

I met will Bill who is the GM for KIII they have a 176 song list when I met with John Lee walker he said Kkdj has a 1347 song playlist you must be confused as to which 99.7 you are listening to as Kkdj has a bigger library than the porter villa KIII .. also your info on JLW he was fired according to the new GM I met Ruben Mejia , that they have hired I asked about who was his replacement . He said they are in negotiations with some former Kkdj staff as well as Dean Opperman. I was also told they hired Athena mid day, Ruben gave me a tour of their office facilities in the pacific southwest building very nice!
