The "new" LIVE 95.9

Any thoughts on the new sound of Live 95.9? They have gone more A/C with new jingles, music, Tesh added at night. Pushing the 'workday' thing...and their website was re-done. They added some features that fit the new format. Kept the LIVE 95.9. interesting. Kept the jock lineup with night jock Molly Blu moving to middays when Boug Mike went to Whoopee for PM Drive. Actually I think a good move because it's tough being a HOT AC these days and Pittsfiled had a huge hole for a true A/C. Star is all satellite HOT AC and Live's sister station Whoopee is oldies. Does anyone think they should have gone country or rock? they actually sound pretty good with the changes. They still need more work but it's getting there.

Actually 95.9 started as Rock. They were WGRG-FM until 1977. Apparently Howard Stern applied there in early 1976, just to do a jock shift, and was rejected....

They were good when they were harder rock...... They kinda blow now!

If they would stop playing 90s and todays music and just play 80s,they would kick again :)

I personally think it's way too small of a market to be an exclusive 80's station. Let's face it...A/C is at least top 5 in just about every larger market it's in. it's a pretty safe move.
