The "Regular Guys", syndicated from Atlanta. Cumulus Radio's cornerstone Rock Radio Morning Show. Any thoughts? And does this make it official that Dallas has NO local air talent worthy of a morning drive show?

What it means is that it's 1/10th the cost of having live, local talent here instead. At least that was the figure given when Bob and Tom "replaced" Bo and Jim at KZPS. B&T were syndicated from Indianapolis and were a Clear Channel property, IIRC.
So should we assume that there'll be at least a one-hour tape delay? Or will The Bone abuse the "privilege" and record the entire show, and (a la 105.3 and Howard) pump in their own 20-min commercial stopsets?

The Regular Guys are greatness. I lived in ATL for 5 years and can honestly say they will pull me over from The Ticket 50% or more of the time. They were fired twice for on air "oops" and i had hoped they would land in Dallas. i think this is a great move. hopefully this will expedite the end of Lex & Terry in Dallas.

These are the geniuses who had the bit where they got porn star Devin Lane on the phone and had her describe sexual acts in great detail, with no censoring of the language used to describe the acts.
They would record the call, and then play it back backwards...thereby skirting the FCC regulations on broadcasting the words sh*t, f**k, c*nt, et cetera.
Listeners needed to record the bit and play it backwards.
The problem was, they didn't know how to run the board.
During a stopset, they recorded her bit. Oh sure, they put the channel in audition to feed the Vox Pro, but they LEFT IT IN PROGRAM and the entire conversation went out live underneath the commercials.
At the time, they worked for CC's WKLS/Atlanta. A couple of weeks later, they didn't.
They were rehired, fired again, etc, etc, etc. More trash from the boys locker room. Niiice.
Add to that what will be a talky afternoon show, and the Bone is kissing a music image goodbye, if they even know how to create one or what that hole would be. They'll eventualy be The Ticket-FM. I don't think they are smart enough to realize they are counterprogramming themselves!!!

Honestly, I don't mind the moronic, sophomore, blue humor. It sells. I'm disappointed that we can't have our own LOCAL morons. We have to pipe in some "out-of-towners" for our toilet humor. That's even worse!!
