the new Pearl Jam

thoughts on the new pearl jam single we got today?

i'm shocked but i LOVE it and i haven't cared about that band since TEN.

it'd be a great thing for this format to have a solid PJ track.

I just think it's sad how radio abandons a band because "they're not as good" (translation: it's not their earlier work).

I've loved all of their many singles through the years and on a lark I bought the first Pearl Jam album I've ever bought, their 2002 release "Riot Act" when it came out. It was well-made, lyrically and musically diverse; a brilliant piece of musical composition.

I'm really looking forward to hearing "World Wide Suicide" and will pick up their new self-titled album when it's released.

I love the song! Thing that sucks is that were making a big deal about premiring it tommorow but we got it yesterday.

Strong tune....and it will be great for the format to have quality new PJ material to spin once again. I keep hearing about how the new album will blow everyone away....I'm looking forward to May 2nd so I can find out for myself if its all just hype or if its deserved....and I'm looking forward to a soon to be announced Cleveland tour date!!
______________

Pearl Jam released "World Wide Suicide" [the single] on their website www.pearljam.com for free download after it leaked out on the Internet.

We played it today on RadioX and we all think it rocks. Nice effort and I can't wait for the CD release.

That, my friends, is how radio works. Well done.

(And kudos to Pearl Jam for putting out such a fantastic song FOR FREE.)

Pretty good. Great to hear from Pearl Jam again. It's been awhile.
______________

I'm going to say that it's okay. Certainly better than the stuff they've put out recently, but I'm not sure it's a big hit or anything.

i love it too but comparing it to Ten is a little much, more like Yield. But it is good.
