The *NEW* WBOK 1230am

The new WBOK is on the air as of sometime yesterday afternoon.... I noticed yesterday morning they were off the air, as in transmitter shut down.

They came back up in the afternoon hours with a format similar to FM98 WYLD or Old School 102.9. Basically, it's classic soul, with a few new R&B songs thrown in.

So if what you observed is true, you could say that Mr Bakewell brought WBOK back to its R&B format pripr to Bishop Willis runining of the station. I for one applaude him for brining a music format to the AM band like KTIB. Do anybody know if they are broadcasting in C-quam Stereo or was my car radio picking up a ghost?
