They are WUUS 97.3 & 99.3 and they're liscensed to South Pittsburg. I couldn't find access to a site of any sort. I was in Chattanooga all weekend long doing family fun stuff and listened to them Saturday & Sunday. I enjoyed the mix for the most part it was somewhat like WLSQ was playing recently before their rediculous switch. Sunday I noticed a few repeats from Saturday but in different dayparts. I was also curious as to if there would be jocks on but didn't hear any, just liners, no jingle package either. They are touting the fact that they have a huge library. "Like having your own Ipod with 10,000 songs on it". Something to that anyway is what I heard. I remember thinking how fun this would sound with some good polished jocks in the mix as well. I was able to hear the station real faint during my commute to work this early afternoon and just what I suspected a "No Jock" format. What a disapointement, not to mention the same songs that I heard on Saturday and Sunday were popping up again on Monday (today). There's that wonderful treat the songs as if they're current hits again programming, the very same thing that almost killed off the "Oldies" or "Gold" type of format to begin with. It's nice to hear " No Matter What" by Badfinger, but not every day! It clearly kills the Oh Wow factor real quick. I'm a fan of a Classic T-40 Golden format and I believe in heavy jock personality, and a rotation that's about two to three day seperation! It can be done you just need a MD who maintains the scheduler. The way a Gold format is presented can really make the difference! Trust me on that.
