The Office- Dwight

Re: The Office = Radio

WKRP in Cincinnati is not real world radio (much as some of us might wish it were). Radio is a lot more like The Office.
Michael = PD
Dwight = Morning Editor/Dir Weekend Pub Affairs Pgms
Jim = Various who find ways to torment "Dwight"
Pam: Unfortunately, no counterpart. Pam is too nice for radio.

Even closer to my radio work experience is the original BBC "The Office." The BBC America channel shows it and some PBS stations have picked it up. Cruel and devastating.

You are so right. I am uncomfortable watching the Office
because of the Michael character. I've had so many bosses
exactly like him and they were all, all in media!

That channel BBC America is one of the best kept secrets
on TV.

Hope things are going well. We're all still chuggin' along here at the Rock.
