The old My Network TV is coming back! (Sorta...)

Come October 1st, Smackdown will move to SyFy. That same night, My Network TV will repeat two episodes of Magic's Biggest Secrets Revealed.

Also, it appears that two other programs are coming to syndication: Whacked Out Videos and World's Funniest Moments. However, I don't know if either of these shows are first-run or repeats.

Does My Network TV still plan to have a late night (Leno-like) show?

Yes, and it will be called MY NETWORK TV PRESENTS A VERY SIMILAR JAY LENO LIKE SHOW. They have gotten Richard Simmons as host. Sidekick will be the Aflac duck. The band will be led by a photo of Lawrence Welk.

This will be the cornerstone of their January debuts. They already have 103 dumb and tasteless stations clamoring to broadcast the show......because those stations have no earthly idea what real TV is or how to present anything remotely enjoyable to the viewing public.

Different people have different ideas as to what good television is. Obviously people are watching it, so just because you don't like it does not mean that others do not. Not exactly my cup of tea, but somebody is happy about it.

I wonder if someone will try the ol' "English telenovela" thing again. ;)

Maybe it's time to roll out Tom Green's House Tonight to the entire country. It might have been three years since they tested the show on a handful of stations, but it's always ready for MyNetworkTV.

Yuck. That was just terrible even remembering those horrid English telenovelas.

I was channel-surfing late Saturday night and saw "Worlds Funniest Moments" with new hosts Erik Estrada and some blonde bimbette @2AM on the Sacramento My58 Channel. Googled around and saw that the website hypes a "return in Fall 2010". If ABC can run AFV for 20 years, no reason a syndicated low-rent version can't succeed in such a visible timeslot....

Is "Whacked Out Videos" any relation to "Whacked Out Sports," which has aired for years on stations like WNBC/New York, and currently airs on VS.?

Just when I thought I'd had "Fashion House" erased from my memory. Thanks.

Correct. Whacked Out Videos is the sister show to Whacked Out Sports. It originally aired on MyNetworkTV in early '08, then went to G4 where it still airs. The MNTV version had the same graphics/animation and narrator as Whacked Out Sports, while G4 created their own intros and narration with Olivia Munn, if I recall correctly (which personally ruined the G4 version, in my opinion).
