The old WATO tower site

Last time I was over there , last summer, it was a disgraceful sight to see. All the windows were broken out of the building, broken records and assorted unraveled reel tapes laying out in the parking lot, an old spotmaster cart machine laying out side the back door, the vintage Gates Transmitter had spray paint on it and nearly all of that nice old equipment inside had been vandalized. The tower was still laying out in the field exactly where she fell. Not much could be done with this old jewel anymore I'm afraid. It appears the place was trashed by Delinquents with too much time on their hands. They do have those windows boarded up now but too late. Too much damage has been done.
