For introducing Casey Kasem and American Top 40 to New York City Radio on 101.9 FM. This back in May 1971 when 101.9 FM was of course 102 WPIX-FM. May this post here can take a moment to thank a good moment in the history of the 101.9 FM frequency in New York City radio and that was the first AT 40 affiliate in NYC radio. So long Casey Kasem and may you forever Rest In Peace. You remain a Top 40 countdown legend!
 
AT 40 with Casey also was heard on WPLJ, 99X and WNBC in NYC at various times. I would also give 101.9 credit for sustaining the smooth jazz format from 1988-2007.
