The original or one of today's versions?

It used to bother me to hear a new version of one of the classic standards, but as long as it's a good version, I don't mind now. As long as new artists keep recording these songs, the format stays alive. I just want them to keep playing the classic artists sometimes.

But yesterday on the local morning show, the substitute DJ played Michael Buble's "Can't Help Falling in Love". She got calls. Now I had no objection to the song and I had no phone since I was in the car, and in some places it would be illegal to make the call if I did, although pulling off the road was an option. She announced she had to play Elvis or she'd be in trouble, and she did.
