The Ortiz Defense

The FCC made a huge precedent setting blunder by not taking action regarding David Ortiz' profanity during the telecast of the Red Sox game. True, emotions were running high, however, the door is now open to others to claim emotions or events were the motivators to use profanity. Additionally, it shows how we, as a society, are accepting unacceptable behavior. Class is class and Mr. Ortiz showed none. The FCC made a huge mistake in this case. Geroge Carlin's 7 words may be reduced to 6 or less after this.

You do realize you come across as an old fogie for even caring about this "class" thing, right?

You also realize that Carlin's routine was making fun of the concept, right? It wasn't an invitation for you to go "Damn straight there are seven words you can't say on television, and I hope it stays that way!"
