The Other John Crenshaw

Who knew there were two successful country PDs at Clear Channel named John Crenshaw?

Er...now there's just one, the one here:

http://boards.radio-info.com/smf/index.php?topic=200337.msg1633568;topicseen#new

C.C. cuts in the Carolinas include.......John Crenshaw...PD of WESC.

I worded this very carefully, in case Columbus' own John Crenshaw reads this board these days...didn't want to spook him out with a header that said "John Crenshaw Out At CC!"

I am pretty sure JBC from WCOL does read this board from time to time!

I'm not sure if he does these days. He used to post, even. He used to read the blog, though probably doesn't much anymore since I basically abandoned covering Columbus and outside of Northeast Ohio.

(Nothing personal, it's just hard to track markets outside of Home Base.)

John Crenshaw used to post on the Columbus board about four or five years ago. I recall he responded to one my post guessing the new format
for the 106.7 move in. I correctly guessed that format as AAA or Alternative. John Crenshaw asked me on that thread how I knew that... Well,
it turns out the station did go to an Alternative format and was I was the only correct guess out of several dozen on the thread.

Also, recall he posted on the WVKO-AM Progressive Talk thread. The one where WVKO-AM just started Progressive Talk on WVKO-AM. He probably
knew the station would fail but posted on that thread a few times anyway, responding to the WVKO-AM cheerleaders. ;)

Ohio Media Watch, You guys must have a full plate these days, with all the going ons in NE Ohio, not to mention your numerous posts on Radio-Info.
Something had to go because a man has to Eat and Sleep. :D
Also, I don't think Cincinnati has a radio blog anymore. That means Ohio Media Watch is the only active radio Blog in the state of Ohio. A good thing
for that part of the state.

I really enjoyed the whole interview. Got a kick out of the part where he warned his daughter to seek an occupation other than radio. ;)
