I would hope that many people know about Brian "Baloney" Maloney's efforts to constantly undermine AAR......so personally i would take his word with less than the proverbial grain of salt. He has yet to do anything but create nothing but empty rumors and falsehoods...

Mediaweek reports on the situaton:

Clip:

Air America Radio found itself on the defensive this week following reports in both the New York Post and New York Daily News Tuesday (March 7) implying that the liberal talk network was about to lose its New York flagship station, WLIB-AM. Air America's lease with ICBC Holdings for WLIB expires at the end of the month.

Among the contenders said to be bidding for WLIB include Radio One -- which recently launched an African-American Talk network featuring Rev. Al Sharpton -- and P1, a syndication company run by former Clear Channel executive Randy Michaels that syndicates left-of-center Talker Ed Schultz.

Since this is post #1200 - A "shout out" to my favorite Boston station - Boston's Progressive Talk - WKOX 1200 (in simulcast with WKXS 1430) bringing a new breath of fresh air to New England...
