The Paramount Saga

I bet a lot of them owned stock. When I felt I was underpaid, I bought stock, and it changed my life.
From my understanding, Oracle wasn't particularly generous with equity-based compensation for individual contributors. There probably was an ESPP option.

I was looking through some of the Paramount cable channels and can’t help but wonder how much longer they’ll be viable, especially with cord cutting continuing. Specifically TV Land and Logo. Both are just block repeats of shows that are available on streaming or OTA, much like some of the other “general entertainment” channels that have been shut down in recent years. No original programming anymore. I believe they ceased new programming on TV Land and Logo several years ago and moved what was kept to other, stronger networks.

Is there a list of linear cable channels that still carry new, original programming anymore? Apart from the OTA networks, cable news and sports channels?

Disney is bundling for advertisers as well. I wonder how long until the Hulu app shuts down? Showtime did this year, and is only available through Paramount Plus (and linear and add-ons in other apps.)
Gee, for a quarter of a thread, we managed to keep the subject to the possible sale of Paramount to Skydancer. Now we're off to Disney and the Hulu app.

In regards to Paramount, if the Skydance merger happens, it would be interesting to see what changes get made. No one would have expected the ways WBD made changes, so new ownership can bring about interesting things.
