"The Patchwork Family" (WCBS-TV)

Anyone remember this show from back in the 70's? The way I read it, there was only one year's worth of shows produced, yet they continued airing up until the late 80's! That's when I saw the apparent "reruns" on WCBS/2, and I couldn't tell the difference! Boy, would I kill to see video of this on YouTube!

Here's a site with info on this show, as well as Wonderama from WNEW/5:

This seems to be a majorly "lost" show, as no one seems to have any clips or ANYTHING posted. It wa sa very interesting hodge-podge of stuff. The techie in me remembers the NTSE-bars colored oscilloscope which would dance around to tunes like Sammy Davis Jr.'s THE CANDY MAN or The Sound of Music's DO-RE-MI. Very Ernie Kovacs'like.

I would be VERY interested to see a tape of this show merely for the nostalgia factor. I was a viewer in the early 80's, so yeah...it ran at least until the mid-80's.

Well, if WXYZ in Detroit has master tapes of the old "Hot Fudge" show, you'd got to think CBS has to have some "Patchwork" film stashed somewhere on West 57th Street! This is their "Hot Fudge"!

Why not? WCBS is where formerly-lost episodes of CBS's "The Joker's Wild" were discovered.
