The Patriot

Since the Patriot arrived and took all or most of its syndicated shows from KFI, I'm curious as to how it's doing. It seems to me that KFI seems to have survived the purge.

KFI only had one daytime syndicated show which was Rush. Everything else was already local.

Correct.

Glenn Beck had been on KRLA but was bumped over a year before and wasn't in the Los Angeles market, Sean Hannity had been on KABC until Cumulus canceled that relationship, and Dave Ramsey had been on KFWB. Laura Schlesinger's departure from KFI was filled by Bill Carroll (local) before that. KEIB already had Clark Howard before the changeover. This leaves the overnight Coast to Coast the only syndicated program on KFI weekdays. Om weekends Leo LaPorte's computer show and Bill Handel's legal program plus the Jesus Christ program and Rick Edelman's financial program are syndicated but two of these originate from KFI studios.

The main result of KTLK converting to The Patriot KEIB has been to improve KEIB's ratings compared to KABC and KRLA. KFI "live and local" sees to being doing just fine.
