An English station finally hits numero uno. It's the best rock station in Phoenix.

Is that #1 A25-54 Total Day?

And this is somewhat besides the point, but I don't consider any station whose playlist includes artists like Kelly Clarkson, Jimmy Cliff, Madonna, and Rick James a "rock" station. If anything, The Peak has been sounding more like a Hot AC lately. Apparently, it's working.

Indeed, it's not a "rock" station at all. Nonetheless, the Peak and Mix 96.9 have had a resurgence in the market. Both are well programmed (for the most part) and the ratings have finally responded.

Not to go off topic, but looking at the actual rock formatted stations, it seems Sandusky is having a bad year. Since Fall 06 both KUPD and KDKB are way down. KUPD is down a full share and KDKB is back where they were when they made a PD change last fall....wtf? Only KSLX is holding steady but they've got that (ratings) killer Pete on that nightshift.... so maybe I need to start a new thread....

But how bout those "we play everything" formats. LOL.

Anyone thinking that any music station in Phoenix is "well programmed" has been stealing Rush's Oxycontin.

most music stations in the u.s. for that matter.

american music is not heard overseas, because music radio in the united states is 20 years behind the trends.

here, it's all commercials, crossover & more commercials.

i can't tolerate it and that's why i'm listening online or ipod.
