The Point Monday morning

I heard an announcement about the holidays coming early to 106-9 The Point and to listen Monday morning to find out. 1069thepoint.com is saying they will be the first to start the season off right. Anyone want to speculate what this is all about? Christmas music? A new contest? The beginning of a flip?

Christmas music!

Probably....CBS's KVIL in Dallas already started (and one station in La I know of)....ridiculous!!

I'm sure a contest about the Holidays. All XMAS music doesn't fit that format. KODA need not worry! Maybe The Point is finally getting a real morning show with real personalities instead of automation sounding?

Maybe they think they can beat KODA to the draw. Whatever, it takes COX for those ratings. Goody, I can hardly wait to hear "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer" an extra thirty times. Hey, what do I know - my neighbors put up their Xmas lights this past weekend. Can't we atleast wait til we break the turkey wishbone?

Does anyone else hate Xmas music, or is it just me. I get the feeling it's just me.

Now excuse me, I've gotta go put up my 4th of July decorations before anyone else does.

I got involved with a Going Out of Business sale last Holiday season (the first time I'd had anything to do with retail in over 20 years) and it was piped in Christmas carols 24/7, even before Thanksgiving. I was ready to commit homicide within a week. I think an extra two weeks of it would have driven me utterly over the edge.

/heard Christmas music in my local Sam's Club starting in late September this year
//ever year Christmas seems to creep back a few days

Yesterday @ a local mall, Friggin SANTA CLAUS WAS ALREADY THERE!!!!

Posted by: Troy Goodwin-I think The Point might be going Alternative AC or CCM. Stay tuned, you'll never know.

It says "Dain Craig has the details at 6:20.."

Sounds like a contest or giveway.

Your neighbors may Celebrate the Festival of Lights! If the are from India. The 9th of November is the big event. It is a very cool celebration. A real cultural event.

I dont see the Point changing a thing they are doing too good.

KODA is STILL the Christmas Music Station

You know KODA has been playing the best christmas music EVER-they've been doing this for a long time, now. KODA usually begins right around Monday before Thanksgiving or Thanksgiving Eve just in time for the well-spirited holiday shopping season, which usually begins the day AFTER Thanksgiving. The Holiday season won't begin until Santa says so!!!

I didn't listen but could it be the "Ho Ho Harley" giveaway on the top of their 5 year old webpage? They need a remodel. These cookie cutter Cox websites suck.

>>>These cookie cutter Cox websites suck.<<<

You mean cookie cutter formats on Cox.
