The Point/WATE news

I have been hearing WATE weather (Mat Hinkin) and news (whomever) in the morning on 93.1. Did
B-97.5 decide to do their own or get out of their deal with WATE? WBIR was doing weather for them where does that leave them?

WATE and WBIR switched. WBIR was only willing to provide voiced news and weather to one station, WATE offered to do it for the whole cluster. Now both the Point and Star have WATE news and weather in the morning and Matt Hinkin-voiced weather throughout the day. It was a win-win for Journal, despite WATE being a distant third in the TV ratings.
