And that's just for the time being. Just after "As The World Turns" ends its 54-Season run on CBS, and before its replacement, "The Talk with Julie Chen" makes its debut on October 18th. "The Price is Right" begins its 39th season on CBS daytime with a fresh new episode on September 20th, and a rerun will be seen on "ATWT"'s old time slot at 2P east/1P in other time zones. "TPIR" will begin its season without Rich Fields, who has been replaced with Brad Sherwood & JD Roberto, both alums of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" Fields, however will continue to work as the weekend weatherman for KCBS-TV, CBS's Los Angeles affilliated station.
I don't remember either of those two. The three regulars on that show were Wayne Brady, Collin Mocrie and Ryan Styles (who was also Drew's co-star on The Drew Cary Show).
This is a mistake though. There was nothing wrong with having Rich Fields as the announcer. I don't understand why they are using two other people to replace him. At some point, it will no longer be the same show.
As far as "more Drew Carey," what you should really be making note of is the "3 degrees of Drew Carey" that CBS already has. For example, "Let's Make a Deal" with Wayne Brady looks like it has been redeveloped to draw on The Price Is Right's current audience. Then, who is the host of the Late Late Show? Why, that's Craig Ferguson who was also one of Drew Carey's co-stars. So the quesiton is not "what else does CBS get from Carey," but "who else in relation to Drew Carey" will CBS capitalize on?
