Yes. He and his wife were morning co-hosts on K-Love for several years.Didn't John Rivers also DJ (that CCM show, what was it called) Twenty, The Countdown Magazine?

Powerline was aired well into the 2010s, as it was on the late Tom Kent's 24/7 Fun network. Aired on KARY (100.9 Cherry FM) I believe 6-9AM Sunday morning.
I notice some of the music on Nightsounds was of the instrumental variety. In Seattle, KCIS-630 has aired "Quiet Time" late at night for many years...probably decades. All instrumental religious music.
Regarding "Country Crossroads," here is a link to an episode from 1986 I uploaded: WIL AM/FM St. Louis, MO (1430 kHz/92.3 MHz) Public Service Programming 26 October 1986 : spiritof67 : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet ArchiveI remember Powerline and Country Crossroads being played from vinyl transcriptions (to use an older term), back in the '80s, usually really early on Sunday mornings, like around 6.
You are welcome. Sent you a PM regarding this.spiritof67, unrelated to this topic but thank you for uploading those 2009-era airchecks from WEAI and WLDS in Jacksonville IL. They seemed to have huge playlists...and I wonder if The Eagle still has a wide playlist of songs?
Thank you in general for all the airchecks you have uploaded. All of those JRN Smooth Jazz airchecks, for sure. I wonder if the former personalities have discovered your airchecks yet? I haven't heard from Steve Hibbard (Michaels) for years now. He once hailed the evening shift at 103.7 the Oasis in Albuquerque. I suppose he is retired. I see John Evans (former Jones AM host) retired from KCBS Radio in 2022. Whatever happened to Al Vincent or Loni Taylor?
I hadn't heard of SCAN but I certainly heard "Silhouette" with Lutheran pastor John Rydgren (also the voice of ABC-FM's "Love" format. WOWO carried it Sunday nights. John's very dulcet tones mixed segments like this with contemporary music.Regarding "Country Crossroads," here is a link to an episode from 1986 I uploaded: WIL AM/FM St. Louis, MO (1430 kHz/92.3 MHz) Public Service Programming 26 October 1986 : spiritof67 : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive
It was part of a block of public service programming I found on a reel I recorded at 1 7/8 ips.
Another religious show, "SCAN," was put together by the Evangelical Lutheran Church In America (ELCA). The program featured a topic mixing rock music with a theme similar to the subject of the interview. Like the show "Powerline," this show aired on stations like WLS Chicago on Sunday nights. Episodes I digitized can be found here: SCAN (ELCA Radio Program) : spiritof67 : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive
Earlier, you asked about the program "Nightwatch." Here is the link to my recently digitized recordings of that show: Nightwatch with Chuck Wagner : spiritof67 : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive
As I recall, John had a counter-culture voice, yet looked like something straight out of 1954.I hadn't heard of SCAN but I certainly heard "Silhouette" with Lutheran pastor John Rydgren (also the voice of ABC-FM's "Love" format. WOWO carried it Sunday nights. John's very dulcet tones mixed segments like this with contemporary music.
