The Pulse 87 stream is now UP!

Is it just me or is the stream really distorted? I guess they havent dialed in the processing yet. Hopefully it clears up in a few days,,, maybe a few hours if were lucky. ;D Still happy to finally have a feed.

Just a heads up,,,, Reduce the volume on the player to about half way and the distortion goes away. The stream sounds excellent now... What is it a 64k ACC?

Just started listening to the stream, and it sounds good, but I have heard a TON of f*ed up segues. Not sure which automation system they are using, but someone needs to check the SEC and TER markers.

I think the strongest move they could do is to broadcast 100% of their on-air signal online. The reason I say this is that way they can get full Arb credit for online listening (though I am not sure Arb is going to let them rank because technically they are a TV station.)

My only other suggestion would be to have a MD that is not afraid to re-edit a track to play better on the air. Some of the versions they are using have the 32-32 intro's that Club DJ's love but sound rather boring on the radio. "Tight and bright." Of course thats just one programmers opinion, I am sure Joel has his own view points on the subject.

Otherwise, I hope they do well..

IM CONFUSED IS THIS A COMMERCIAL STATION ?ISNT ANY STATION UNDER91.9 COLLEGE OR PUBLIC RADIO? EITHER WAY WELCOME BACK DANCE RADIO NEW YORK NEEDED YOU.

Ive been listening ever since 4:00 yesterday, I cant turn it off. I think a mass appeal Dance station like this could work anywhere. At least they have a good quality online stream for those that can receive the weak 87.7 signal, or dont have the Channel 6 on cable. They seem to have fixed the audio glitches just in time for Star and Bucwild, which by the way, their first show wasnt that great, but I think after they adjust to the new station and get used to being on radio again they will get better. I was just expecting them to be really funny, but they are more informative than comedians it seems. Again, im gonna give em a few weeks to get back into the flow of things. Star was giving shout outs to the out of market web listeners this morning, and he mentioned me in Indianapolis, and a bunch of other people including several in Atlanta. This station is creating quite a buzz if they have that many online listeners on their first day.
