The Puzzle Almost Finished - FCC Grants KLRZ Sale

As of yesterday, the FCC said yes for the sale of 100.3 KLRZ from Jerry Gisclair to Citadel.

As mentioned before, the FCC gave the OK for the sale of 106.1 WKSY from Guaranty to Citadel earlier this month.

As far as I see it, this is what's left:

Step 1: Close sales of WKSY and KLRZ. (I guess this will happen real soon.)
Step 2: Get new KLRZ tower running. (I thought it was supposed to be up by the end of this week?)
Step 3: New formats all around!
Step 4: ???

The tower has been up for years, All they are doing is moving to a preexisting tower in Cut Off and had to run the feedline and install the transmitter/STAs ..but according to WBWorld it's should be online now (that and the fact that as he said, I think that was part of the agreement to get it online before they finalized)

Sad to know can't catch KRRV in BR anymore:-O

I hope they aren't finished tweaking the new transmitter yet. Signal is very spotty in the metro. Either Alexandria or Hattiesburg was eating KLRZ's lunch yesterday morning. I live in Metairie and can't pick it up on my home stereo. (WKSY & WCDV come in great on the home stereo)

That's mainly why I asked if the tower was ready to go. I hope it's not, because I'm getting nothing in Slidell (unless it's SL100 from Hattiesburg for a little bit of time at night). According to their predicted coverage, I should get about the same level of reception as Hot 104.5 or TIX-FM.

When the band usually opens, KLRZ gets wiped out even in Thibodaux with KRRV from Alexandria (KRRV has country and Id's as k double r v , with WNSL? running pop as SL100)

From what I can tell, and scanning when I can, they are playing and adjusting at the new tower as KLRZ goes off the air (like Tuesday morning I beleive it was) to tweak (I wanna say with dead carrier..no signal meter to verify)

I know 100.3 does come into Avondale on radios inside however (how clear don't know) I just know there are people who listen on the westbank (due to asking questions to me about the goings on, on Gisclair's talk show)
