The Q on new tower

Almost has the same sinal as WVPR 89.5. Stronger going west, gets in around the Rutland area much better, still misses most of the city though. But hey, The Fox is virtually the same thing, same imaging, and same voices / voice tracking.

Picked up some stronger-than-ever stereo catches as far south as Hubbardston and Rutland, Massachusetts last time I was in the area. I'm told in West Leb the 106.1 signal is MUCH improved. I'd have to guess the dead spots on 89 in Enfield and Grantham are no longer, as well.
______________

The signal is MUCH different southbound as well.
I had no problem picking it up into Greenfield, MA., where in the past it was noisy at best.

Around Brattleboro and Keene, it is improved as well...

It even has a some what listenable signal around Glens Falls/Saratoga Springs, NY, these days, too...

Next step, flip the format! Has Imus died yet? Are we sure thats actually him in the morning? Who was the girl on Monday afternoon? She has as much personality as a piece of Wonder Bread. Liner after liner after liner. What's the point of putting a jock on, voice tracked or otherwise, if all they can do is read liner cards? Is that what Nassau thinks makes good radio? The new tower is a long time in coming, hopefully the new format will knock the dust off of the Q signal.

ahhh ... isn't there an on-frequency booster on Pico with a directional antenna aimed at Rutland & Killington?

There was, but Vox shut it off when it launched The Fox back in Spring of 2000, so it wouldn't compete with the new station.
______________

Now that's the spirit! Nice work V-Fred! My big girlfriend at cc and I sometimes just can't figure what they were thinking. First of all, Imus is boring, we just can't listen here on the farm, the milk production goes right down white river up here in Sharon! Second, one of my favorites... "Art-the-lover-Steinberg" left! Now they bring in this porn-star, who is trying to steal the few men I have left at Benning St. Who does she think she is!? Not that I don't look as good as she does! I mean guys, I'M MARY! Oh, I guess I should just stop complaining...My big girlfriend promises that something new is on the horizon. And not just for 106, but for her show. A new host, she is very pleased with the news! And good for her too, she deserves to be happy!

Mary ;)
