The Race Card

I hate to even bring this up but I have a legitimate question. I thought Radio One owned an Alternative Rock station aside from the one they used to own here in Philadelphia. I don't remember where it was though. Have they since flipped that one as well?

I believe they own a brokered-type format and maybe a News/Talk type format but I don't know what type of programming airs on those stations. (I may actually be completely off-base and they may in fact not own a stations that program either a brokered programming or News/Talk.) My question is whether they own any stations that don't particularly target the African American community.

For the record, I am not someone who minds or thinks it's wrong that they are trying to target a particular race with their stations.

Before Y100, did they own WDRE?

They purchased WDRE and flipped it to Urban "Philly 103.9."

I'm pretty sure Radio One owns WLRS down in Louisville and has kept that Rock (didn't they even add a second frequency for it a while back to make it more competitive?)... and I could have sworn they owned a Country station somewhere. That one I'm probably wrong on though.

I'm pretty sure Radio One owns WLRS down in Louisville...

Last year, Radio One sold WLRS, along with 9 other Louisville and Dayton, OH properties, to a company called Main Line Broadcasting which just so happens to be located in...Philadelphia, PA.
