The Ranch

It's really sad to see the latest victim of Gerry the GM. So he's going all texas country huh? I was there two years and in my 2 years Gerry the GM changed the format every 4 months. Of course blaming competent pd's like Linda O'Brian, Bill Thorman, Rick (can't think of his last name) and countless consultants for the problems.

The truth is GERRY the GM IS THE PROBLEM. I may be the only one brave enough to step up and call a spade a spade and Gerry The GM is the one that needs his walking papers. How he's snowed LKCM is beyond belief. Most of the people at LKCM are great people and work hard but somehow GERRY the GM stays.

I'm so happy to be out of that GERRY-RIGGED KFWR. I remember the first day i started their. We had a PD that was fair and nice. Gerry the GM had not arrived. I was doing nights, Linda O'Brian middays and Nadine Bodett Afternoons. One hell of a good station and everybody got along. Then comes GERRY the GM and begins his rein of terror driving wedges between friiends, screwing with the music and running off the decent people and keeping the brownosers which some are still there shouting how great GERRY THE GM IS. :'(

If you are thinking about working at the Ranch think twice and consult the 8 pd's, 4 consultants and countless air talent that have been through the GERRY-RIGGED KFWR...THEY are ALL victims of GERRY THE GM!

As for me going on one year at the Wolf in Sacramento doing afternoons. Loving every minute of it. Great PD, Great GM and one hell of a on-air Staff!! Sacramento is one tough market. Our country competitior has been here 20 years and they sound good too. We have our work cut out for us. Thank God we can do our jobs without a GERRY-RIGGED Station ;D

Wow. Lots of hatin' goin' on! Who is this Gerry guy and how does someone (if what Catfish writes is true) stay around that long?

Amen brotha Catfish.....Glad you moved on to bigger & better! Thanks for always being on my side back then! You do have a great PD. I was young when I worked for him but looking back a little older and wiser I realize how lucky I was!

How goes it, Catfish?!? Glad to hear things are working out so well on the Left Coast! (But I'm sure you hate getting into political discussions with your typical Californians.) You can see by the board that nothing's changed here.

Ya know, May 22 makes FIVE years since I got on with Traffic.com...and you to thank for that, coming to my rescue after the Russ Incident. Can you believe it's been that long now? To be quite honest, I've never been on one job that long in my entire life!!

Take care, and fight the good fight!! Send us some gas $$$ when you get a chance.

Larry: Good to hear from you! What are you doing now?

Mike: I'm proud of the way you have conducted business these past few years. You deserve all the best! Say hi to McCarty and tell him to take care of his sugars!

Working with that horse's rear Mike Shannon! (Totally kidding Mike)

This is just me talking, but in my years of radio experience, it seems that really good GM's are few and far between. When you get a good one, you think you've gone to heaven.

Jay :(

Having been in the market since '98,,you think the grass is Always Greener,,,However,,Thats Not Always The Case,,is it!

Bro Jim,,,Good To Hear From Ya!
