"The Real" Robert Mitchell

OK! I've had enough! This is to all you whining little backstabbers that keep posting about how bad Bob sucks. I don't care if you got fired by him, got replaced by him, or got your ass kicked again and again by him, you are all little bitches for not having the guts to put your name where your mouth is!

Let's set the record straight, Bob Mitchell has consistently kicked ass in New Orleans on 3 different stations in morning drive and as a PD longer than most of you have been alive. His stations held consistent ratings, and not one of the stations he used to program has HALF of the ratings he used to garner EVERY BOOK, nor have they been able to in the past 5 years.

Now, as far as his WWL work, it's hard to go from having to be out of a talk break in two minutes, to having to fill three times that right away. I should know, I had to learn to do that when I went from music radio to talk tadio back in 1995. I'm not in New Orleans, but have been monitoring and he is slowly progressing into the position.

Finally, let me piss the rest of you off. Entercom won't get rid of him, and he will get renewed in Jan. He has huge name recall with New Orleans listeners, and is FONDLY remembered by 99% of them. Look at the WWL local lineup, it's all names you know, period! It's not a complaint, just a fact.

Unlike the rest of you, I know of what I speak because I used to work for Mitchell. In fact, I was fired by Mitchell. It's a part of this business, so I took it for what it was, I f'd up, and I paid for it. And those of you that know me, know firing me wasn't an easy thing.

The truth is, I got my first PD gig after that, and my first talk gig. I learned I loved doing talk radio.

Bob took the time to teach me about music, basic programming, and the right and wrong way to stay in this business. I use the stuff he taught me to this very day.

Bottom line, stop hating the player, hate the game that gave him the gig you wanted! If you think you can do better, submit your CD and Resume to Entercom, and let's see how long you wait to get a call. Do me a favor, Hold your breath while waiting!

Seeya,

Cuzz (Yes, that CUZZ!)

So what if Mitchell helped you. He still sucks on talk radio and should be fired!

Hey Sparky, NO, I'm just going to tell you that he needs to be fired.

Hey, noradiofan, you can tell me anything you like, but performance is the only thing that management listens to. Bitch all you want, but unless you can do better, all you're doing is wasting your time and mine! From the calls he got when he was by himself the week before he and Vinny started the 11a-2p shift, you are one of the SMALL, VOCAL MINORITY.

Hey Spark, you don't get it. It's not my job to be better than him. It's his job to do his job, and he's not doing it. If he had such a wonderful following, and he was so profitable for entercom, why is he talking now, and not doing his oldies gig. I'm sure there's an excuse for that too. Some radio industry trade secret, right Spark!
