Not meant to be tasteless at all. In fact, I know CBS 19 has offered help to KLTV during this time. I'm not sure if KLTV will take him up on it or not, but Phil Hurley is a great guy and I know he feels horrible about KLTV's situation.
Just trying to lighten the mood. I'm sure it's been a tough day for everyone associated with this story.

Wow, amazing, considering how much 7 badmouthed 56 (while Phil was still GM there) on air after the tornado took out 56's power back in 1987...basically 7's promos were bragging because they had generators in place for any kind of power disruption (the actual VO message was rather tart IIRC)...a rather unpleasant development considering it was a *tornado*, not something Phil/et-al could have done much about. I couldn't believe 7 acted like that...if it were the other way around, I think Phil would have had a little more class were Tyler the victim of a tornado instead of J'ville. KETK did install a new generator system after all the mess was cleaned up and the signal was re-established.

This marks the third instance of Murphy's Law applying to the television world that I've lived through....
I remember the KETK outage....that same tornado even tore up part of their studio if I recall correctly. I'm thinking they were out for about a week.
Then didn't KFXK have a major transmitter problem that kept them off the air for a few days in 94 or 95? I'm thinking it was a transmitter meltdown or something....
And now KLTV....
