The REBEL goes to 100,000 WATTS or not?

More than "mumbo-jumbo." If they are, indeed, marketing themselves as 100 kW (and I don't know if they are), that's actionable by a competitor.

Surely they know better than that...

Well, let's see. If WEBL, currently licensed at 3.4 KW simulcasts on 830 AM (+8 KW), managed to get the Byhalia translator (+.250 KW), and LMAed with Holly Springs (+4.1 KW), then they're up to 15.75 KW, just 99,984.25 to go. Watts 38 dB among friends?

I suppose AM 830 is easier to pick up than AM 1430. That's a selling point for the station for those precious few who still listen to music on the AM dial. ;D

It's much easier. 830 does get out well even considering that the tower is probably a little short for middle of the AM band.

I think something is up with the ground radials at 1430. They need to be replaced or have maybe some of them have been stolen. 1430 is weak to my ears for 2,500 watts. At night its way in the mud in midtown. It's it rains and the ground is wet I can hear it with the signal it had 20 years ago at night in midtown.
