His broadcasts predate me but apparently he gave stories of his famous career during rain delays. His rain delay chatter is reported to have been released on record. Pretty cool, I think.
I know Marty and Joe are part of the past...but I think it would be fun if they would do a Best of the Banana Phone or Best of Marty and Joe as a time filler. The Adam Dunn stunt is one that comes to mind first.
How does that sound as a "change-up"?

That would be a great idea. I wonder how much was recorded and transfered to digital

I know it happens a lot in the fall with high school sports on smaller market affiliates. There may be something WING airs that takes presendence over Reds broadcasts. Have no idea what it would be.I noticed that WING in Dayton does not carry all of the games. Is this unusual for a Reds Radio affiliate?
I would love to see them stick with Tommy and Jeff not this rotating cast of analysts. Are there any thoughts on the upcoming season as far as the radio broadcasts go? Any room for changes or improvements???
They almost have to be. There are areas in that market, many areas, that get a better signal from WLW than WING at night ... and probably during the day as well.I wonder if they are deferring to the coverage that WLW gives up there in the event that they cannot run the games?
Unless they ever take Brantley off TV, I don't think this is changing any time soon. I like when Welsh comes over and does some radio games. He's better on PBP than Brantley and has a good rapport with Thrall, just like he did with Marty. And TV allows Brantley to stick to analysis, where he excels.I would love to see them stick with Tommy and Jeff not this rotating cast of analysts.
In the classic years it was Marty and Joe not Marty and who do we get today.
