the return of 99x

Cool but what will they still call it 99x? I guees it doesn't matter greatly since no more diaries exist. I wonder if TRG will be the morning show there to see if they casn squeeze a few more people into their ratings or to prevent slight erosion?

I notice on the 99x website they list shifts from 10:00 am until Midnight. I know the oh so talented Jillina uise to do the morning shift. She is now 7 - 12 pm. Will it be all VT'd like the HD channel?

I guess it depends on what they plan on doing with the channel as a whole. Maybe they'll bring TRG to the mornings as mentioned before. My guess it that they'll go with the music only angle until they have something set in stone. Who knows...maybe the morning mess will have a new job. Seems like they'd be better suited for that demo.

Listening at 9:09 to see.

First song?

I'll take "Smells Like Teen Spirit"

Please, no. It's time to look forward to the future, not play one of the same 15 songs that killed 99X the first time with its oversaturation.

99X isn't all voice-tracked, and never has been. In fact, you'll rarely hear a tracked shift on the station. Once jocks returned after the shift to HD-2 and net, they've been live and in studio each and every day. That's more than can be said of most of the "big sticks" in Atlanta and other major markets.

It has been a LONG time coming. The return of 99X should be an interesting one to say the least. I just hope it's not done poorly.

I'm very excited about this..

maybe the first song will be Video Killed the Radio Star?? ::)

This is pretty cool....all us radio geeks are in our format-flip glory today.

The countdown clock is kinda creepy.

I caught the legal ID on 97.9 and it said WWWQ....wasn't that Rock's legal ID? Q is using WNNX, right? Is Rock getting new calls? I'm lost (as usual).

I know it was posted here awhile back, but does someone have a link for the technicals on 97.9?

Also, where can I get a steam for 99x? 99x.com is blocked with the 9:09 announcement.
