The Return of Amy DeLuca

As many of you now know Amy DeLuca has been hired as the new anchor for the 5:30 and 10 pm newscasts over at WPRI/FOX Providence. This is definitely a good move. I always thought she was good when she anchored at ABC 6.
The bigger news is the demotion of her husband over at ABC 6. Just a few months ago he was the face of the station- now he has been booted off the 11 pm newscast and is reporting. I feel that this is a good move, because John is not a great anchor, but a good reporter. It also gives six one more full time reporter to cover news. I just wish six would promote Wendy at 11 like they promote April and Walter at six. Wendy is the hidden jewel of the market. She is by far the best female anchor this market has to offer.

> It's not exactly an anchor-driven market is it? WJAR almost has an interchangeable parts approach, to everything. It makes you wonder what they would be capable of if they got things together a bit. As for Wendy I don't know how "hidden" she has been but it will be tough to get noticed on 6.
