The return of Fox 32

After years of being called Fox Chicago, WFLD-TV last week renamed itself Fox 32, akin to what sister station WTXF-TV in Philly did a few years ago after reverting from Fox Philadelphia back to Fox 29.

Here is the logo.

Interesting development. I haven't been a regular viewer of WFLD for years. (I live in Milwaukee, and my cable company stopped carrying the channel in the mid-1990s.) From VCR recordings, I recall the branding conversion from "FOX 32" to "FOX Chicago" took place in fall 1990.
