The Return of KTIB-AM 640 ?

There was a person by the name Dave Buras (I think) who used to work at KHOM before Clear Channel bought the station. He does voice over ads for a talking billboard for Bayou signs in Houma, and used to a show sunday nights on KHOM called Yesterday Once More. It was music from the 40's to the 60's spotlighting each year. Could that be Him? ???

I do remember or rather know of Dave Buras, tremendous person..not just radio man. The guy I was thinking of...and I must admit I had to call someone to jar my memory...that used to appear with Greg Dumas on KTIB's morning show was William Taylor, he's an actual meteorologist from Thibodaux but got his degree in Monroe at I think what used to be called NLU. I know he's pop up on New Orleans radio at WGSO doing weather for their night-time sports shows & was on statewide radio for years with Jim Engster on Louisiana Live (also with Don Grady).
He's the guy that was responsible for KTIB's 50th anniversary special in 2003 according to my source. I don't know if he's been asked back under the new ownership....he's was okay, crazy part is his degree is a true scientific meteorology degree, unlike many TV people who don't truly have that.
Wish him well wherever he ends up.

Thanks for the tip on William, I'll have to check out that website sometime. I think one reason why he doesn't post a lot anymore is due to his private sector job's schedule. So we'll see if he gets asked back to KTIB or not.
