The Return of RMW

I had on NBC 10 NEWS last night and Rebecca Morse Whitten delivered the Metro Traffic update. How long has she been back? And given the "penalty" phase seems to be over, will she once again become a "friend"?

Also; on the coverage last night of Cianci's resentencing, they showed an interview outside the court with a group of reporters hovered around a lawyer. There were two 630-WPRO flagged microphones in the pile. Any idea why they had two people interviewing the same person?

My guess is that the extra Microphone was just used as a backup. It was a pretty important story. You don't want to get back to the station just to find out that something happened to one of the recordings and nothing is on it. It's always good to have that backup just in case.

I hadn't heard she was on but am glad the unfortuate incident wasn't a career-ender in the media. I could understand how it turned out at B101 & it was probably the best thing for her personally too rather than have to deal with remaining on the air, but kudos to Metro for rehiring her. Anyone who assumes one mistake means you'll keep making it is short-sighted.

Were there any 920 WHJJ microphones in the pile?

Couldn't see all of them, but it looked like 2 WPRO, channels 6, 10, 12, metro... and maybe NECN

I think bringing her back to B101 would be a huge mistake. They'd fire Carrie to put Rebecca back on? Why? That would be a pretty stupid thing to do.

I'd have to imagine she's done at Clear Channel for good -- not a good situation to be in working in radio these days!

I am glad to hear she is back on the air in some capacity. People do make mistakes and shouldnt have to pay for them there whole life. As long as she pays the penalty an pays her debt. I hope she can start over again and make a good name for herself. GOOD LUCK REBECCA !!!
