THE RETURN OF SYBIL SUMMERS

Looks like Ben and Skin have made Sybil Summers a part of their show... Oooooo that's gotta hurt PnK...

LOL that is classic I hope that show just shines! In a positive way. is she one throughout the show like she was with p&K?

She's been on most of the show. Sybil rules. Perfect addition to Ben and Skin.

P&K should blow it off and just concentrate on winning an award for causing the most ears to bleed in the metroplex.

Sybil is about the only bright spot to the KLLI lineup...

I don't really know what to think about this.

I do know that Pugs and Kelly are probably super pissed about this but I don't think Ben and Skin need [EDITInflammatory content]on their show. I've begun to listen to them and I really like them 10x more than I ever liked P&K.

I dont know if im more amazed by his comments or the fact richard pryor is back from the dead...

I was at the station yesterday for the Snow Day and damn Syb looked HOT. I'm glad she is back as a full time person at the station.

She is a great addition to Ben and Skin and hopefully well help them.

::) Eh...I don't think she can carry the show - much less the station.

Makes me wonder just how great are her supposed business ventures, if she needs to take a step back in her career to help a low-grade midday show.....

I smell desperation on both sides.

SNOB.

Just cause you don't like Ben and Skin doesn't mean that it is low-grade.

outlaw luckily for you the minimum wage is set for another increase next summer so don't believe Gavin when he says your doing such a great job we're going to increase your pay to 7.25. Your blind faith in this station that I imagine runs you around like crazy while paying you crap is just plain scary.

Meh, I'm not so sure about that. If anybody has Arbitron ratings for the show then I'd love to see them but my personal opinion is that they are a great funny show.

They fit in a lot better to KLLI than Pugs and Kelly did and I find them 1000x more entertaining and interesting than P&K. I understand where you're coming from though, bringing in someone like Sybil does sound like desperation but I'd like to see the ratings before I jump to conclusions.

That's a pretty ignorant thing to say unless you know the details of her business ventures.

She's still working for Texas Motor Speedway during the racing season. She also still has her promotional company which is not only very successful in Dallas, but has expanded to Houston as well.

I don't see where her picking up another gig with a mid-day show (in addition to everything else she has going on) is 'taking a step back in her career'.

And I also don't see where adding a female, ESPECIALLY one who has a history of being loved by listeners in the past at KLLI, to an all-male mid-day show is 'desperate'. Seems like a good move to me. I doubt they are expecting her to 'carry the show', as you say. The show sounds pretty stable and formatted to me. However, they NEED a female voice/perspective on a mid-day show that's geared towards males. Common sense. Why not find one who has a following already?

Do you think they'll let her interview a hurricane or do a news remote with Big Tex? I like Sybill but a painfully unfunny show is still going to be painfully unfunny.

That's cool, I was wondering when I was going to get paid by the station.

I guess I should be asking Gavin for my paychecks.

Anyone want to take a guess at who what I actually do, or who I actually am?

I'll give you guys a hint......I'M NOT RUSS MARTIN OR ERIC MARC.

I enjoy talk radio and some humor, but after giving B&S a few weeks...their idea of humor just doesn't match up with mine. I am not a sports fan, but enjoy hearing the nonsports talk of the Ticket guys way better than these two. Somehow B&S's "nonsports" talk ends up being sports talk...or just not funny. B&S and the whole mess at 105.3 has really turned me off the talk format...I have gone back to listening to music.
Sybil is fine but I don't see her making two morons funny..I am glad I took 105.3 off my presets.

Are you her personal accountant? You're trying to tell me that someone who is so successful that she is expanding her business doesn't have anything else better to do than talk with two chumps about their sports views and what a good hooker should look like?

She has her following. I'll give you that, but before you call me ignorant, you might want to take a look in the mirror. Obviously, I'm not the only person that feels that your views are obviously skewed and biased. You seem to be too close to the people there to give an intelligent, unbiased opinion.

None of us have any friends there nor work there. So, we have nothing to gain/lose by our opinions. We're giving our honest opinions.

They could be excellent folks off air, but to me, their show is horrible and the station is in shambles. Judging by the amounts of postings about how bad the show is and how A LOT of people have turned that station off after years of following, I'm not alone.

So, adding her to an all-male cast is a good thing that will boost their ratings? What does Jasmine bring to the morning show? Nada. So, adding a female doesn't necessarily mean a jump in ratings when the two MAIN guys are not funny at all. She should go back to focusing on her promotional work....because being on that show/station doesn't sound like she knows how to promote herself all that well.

Are you her personal accountant?  You're trying to tell me that someone who is so successful that she is expanding her business doesn't have anything else better to do than talk with two chumps about their sports views and what a good hooker should look like?

I know she works for Texas Motor Speedway. I know her business recently expanded to other markets and is doing well. This is all information that anyone can find out with some searching.

I don't know her personal reasons for going back... or their reasons for adding her to the show. I gave my opinions of why I could see it being logical.

Oh, and I didn't call you ignorant... I just stated that you said something pretty ignorant. Your lack of knowledge as to why she is there does not equal desperation on their part. I never claimed to have any inside knowledge on the situation either. I only stated my opinion on why it would seem to be a good move on both KLLI and Sybil's parts. Oh, and I didn't compare Sybil to Jasmine or the shows to each other. Completely different scenarios, shows, etc...

I'll stick with my original 'ignorant' remark. ;)

Aww isn't that sweet.... She'll be glad to know that you're researching to make sure she's doing okay.

But yet again - You failed to actually read before replying. I COULDN'T care less what you think of my opinion. I look at the facts as they present to me, and I make my own assessment and opinion - thus is the function of this board.

Oh - and I never said that you compared Jasmine to Sybil. I compared the fact that adding a female does not automatically give you stellar ratings.

If you do actually work there, as people have inferred....it's no wonder why that station's so horrible. ;)

Mmm. Probably not. I was just curious about her business so I looked it up.

Oh no... I read what you typed. I replied that your comments were ignorant, which was my assessment and opinion... thus is the function of this board. See how that works? :)

I don't recall saying that was the reason Sybil was added to the show. Why would I know the reason? I didn't hire her. However, it doesn't seem illogical to add a popular female talent to an all male midday show that is in it's first weeks of incarnation. There's another one of those opinion things that we all have. :)

Well now... THAT was a clever shot! Do you have a radio show somewhere? If so, you should save some of that material for the air. :p
