THE RIMSHOT TO END ALL RIMSHOTS

I'm speaking of course of WVFJ 93-3 in Atlanta. I was able to pull this station in at Ft Benning, and when I was in Auburn. The signal must be somewhat weak in Atlanta. How many dBu in Midtown does WVFJ get?

Theoretically 56dBu, which falls short of the 60dBu necessary for a Class C1 station like WVFJ to be protected from interference. (but enough for the lower-powered Class B stations in the Northeast to be protected)

Now, that's determined by the FCC's propagation curves, which don't take terrain into account.

This station is really a waste and a mess. IMO. I remember back in the late 70's when it was WFDR, it was a great station that could be picked up all over Atlanta.
