The River Live at Mohegan Sun

Last evening I noticed that the River had a live person broadcasting from Mohegan Sun. I thought this was a one time thing. Today they were back at Mohegan Sun. It sounds like they have a studio there. 2 people were present - a man named Michael G and a lady (I did not catch the name). The funny thing is he sounds like the guy who does the commercials for the State Street Grill as well as a local propane distributor. Is this a change at the River or a paid advertisement?
 
The question is ... With the new visible studios At The Casino, Will they be adding more on-air talent? ... Or

will people be expected to simply stop by the booth to watch the automation?
 
What's funny about a guy who does commercials being a jock on a radio station? duh ???

I checked their website, it looks like they changed their logo and have a "niche" at Pocono Downs.

More staff? Live remotes? Perish the thought...that would cost money. ;)

Sadly, this is exactly what I did around 8pm opening night. I can't help it. My two biggest vices...Radio and Gambling...in one place. ;D

Also, the afternoon guy is Mike Stanton. Used to work at WDNH in Honesdale and recently...sales (Mgr at WILK I believe) at Entercom. Now probably doing both at Bold Gold...He is also known as the Snedeker Leprechaun!
It is about time they finally filled pm drive. It has only been three years! and they used to called Lane slow on the draw! Geez!

Also, as a point of note...Mohegan Sun has 25 percent ownership in Bold Gold WBS. THAT is why the studio is at Mohegan. It's also about time they finally got a REAL LOGO.

I Wondered About That ... WMOS 102.3 FM (The Wolf 102.3) Have Their Studios At The Mohegan Sun In

Connecticut And Use The Same Phrase "Powered By Mohegan Sun". They By The Way Are A Citadel Station

(Classic Rock) And It Says That They Are Part Of The Mediaspan Network. The "MOS" Stands For Mohegan

Sun I Guess.
 
they need more photos of the studio. this is their new full time studio, correct? stl link and all?

One of the radio stations in Liberty/Monticello, NY was purchased by the owners of Monticello Raceway. Is this part of that same group? A new format..
Big Casino Radio??
 
This could give The River the bi county presence it has lacked with this set of owners as well as the previous regime.

What a concept, jock does his show, walks right out the door and blows his meager wages at the slots and video poker/blackjack. I love this country!!!! :p
