Triple A 92.5 The River Longtime Music director Catie Wilber is now the new PD of 92.5 The River.

I hope she is working on her resume, or training for a new career in the fun and rewarding field of fast food.

WXRV is a revolving door. She has been in the position for months as an interim fill in and they finally getting around to picking her? Maybe no other PD in the world is crazy enough to take the gig?

I wish her well, she is going to need it.

never worked there but i like the river...i think it's a good station

I will listen to them, I happen to like them, but there seem to be some issues with retaining people there, or is it my imagination.

It isn't your imagination. I did 2 tours there (pre-River) and Mr. Silberberg is a shining example of how not to motivate employees. He must have spent millions in turnover costs by now. Mad props to Bob Stuart on his roughly 25 years there...he's a great guy.

Agreed. It's one of the only stations in Boston not afraid to play interesting music.

I must say, Bob Stuart is fantastic. He is the highlight of the station, which I find to be a personality wasteland. As I live in Australia and listen online, I usually catch part of his show as I am going to work in the morning. On the odd occasion that I hear the morning drive show, I generally think it is dull. There is seriously nothing in it. I wonder, is there ANY listener interaction on-air?

I hope Catie get some freedom to inject some personality into the station.

Every female PD who has ever served at The River has left the station in tears.
