THE ROGERS SPORTS CHANNEL IS BACK ON!

Rogers Broadcasting Limited received permission from the CRTC yesterday to start its new "Sports De Interest General" cable network as a Category 2 French Network. So it looks like Rogers will be competing with TVA Sports after all. And if Rogers gets control of the NHL contract in 2014, watch out!
 
I think it's a blocking effort to stop french channels from having Olympic coverage rights in markets that Rogers wouldn't normally cover.

I remember years ago, in the Toronto market a french channel aired durring the olympics then vanished, as their licence was strictly for coverage of the Olympics in french.

And yet the Chicken Channel is still on.
 
LoL! Yes, and yet Swiss Chalet is closing down several restaurants.
Respectfully, they are opening a few Harvey's/Swiss Chalet mixed use locations, and renovating some regular locations.
However, the closing of the King street location in the Theatre district was indeed A HUGE loss!!!

The Chicken channel failed to draw stronger attention.
