Somebody had to sit and write it... then get the singers together to rehearse and record it, then post production, then someone at the radio station said OK.

And none of these people at any point during this process realized how [EDIT] awful they are?

PAMS...JAMS OR SAMS club...

at least they use jingles. Here's the big question, other then WLNG, how many stations use jingles?

PAMS has been gone for decades. And it's "JAM" without the "s."

There are a number of other producers of syndicated jingles, as well as many stations that do custom production.

The PAMS tracks are now owned by JAM.
 
Give me the old 80's jingles any day! "97...97.5 (dit-alit-a-dit-dit-dit!) WALK!!"

and the old news sounder (Boom boom wah ah ee ee ee...wah ah ee ee ee...) :D

Even though radio today is a mostly a waste of time with voice tracking, automation, the same burnt-out music, syndicated crap, etc., the ONLY thing that's still around are jingles. Even LITE-FM in New York finally plays jingles, after almost 30 years of not playing any (except during the Christmas format).
 
hey dave...i know it's JAM... it was a joke sorry it was missed.
 
Party 105 when they first came out, used to play jingle, and they weren't that bad either. I think they should bring them back.
