"The Search for HD Radio"

"The Search for HD Radio"

Audio Graphics version of Google Trends for HD Radio - I emailed them and suggested that they use "iPod", instead of "iPods" in their comparisons. And, some here suggest that my emails and comments to articles are ineffectve ! :D

This seems to indicate that ibiquity really is coming to the consumers from a weak position; "please buy one",
when the hip and strong position is, " Did you hear the live BLANK show from HOTNIGHTCLUB Saturday night on KXXX-2?"
"Oh that's right, you don't have HD yet."

You can't plead today. You must swagger, be bold and define your own hip, or cool, and ibiquity, well, for some reason ibiquity can't.

I can swagger about my invention though it's made me NO money at all because I know it IS THE most sensitive analog DC amplifier
circuit ever defined.

I think the situation is the same as UHF/VHF in the 60's. The COOLER stuff was on UHF.
We didn't have UHF; "yearning in youth for the cooler stuff'; HD must somehow be seen as a portal to what listeners bitch about
as "missing" formats.

As someone with feet in present wave tech, much as I disagree with a lot of it, I see HD failing on FM from lack of
what I above defined. At least throw a WNUR FM or WFMU FM on a commercial HD2s in big markets, so more listeners can hear
REAL diverse radio. But no. It won't be cool. Can't you people think like a teenager anymore?
