The shows changing networks thread

And "It's a Living" (with Ann Jillian) spent its first year on one of the Big 3 before spending several more years in first-run syndication.
It was on ABC.

Gail Edwards (who went on to recur as Vicky Larson on Full House) was on it and Sheryl Lee Ralph who went on to play on Moesha and is now on Abbott Elementary joined the cast in Season 4. The title actually changed to “Making A Living” in Season 2 but when it moved to syndication it changed back to “It’s A Living.” The theme song lyrics changed accordingly. I had never heard of this show until a few months ago when I saw it on YouTube. This one slipped through the cracks in my childhood and teenage years.

I remember it. I saw a few episodes.

Ones I remembered in the top of my head are:

Family Matters and Step By Step, moved from ABC to CBS (which was weird to me, was used to see them on TGIF back in the 90s)
Medium, moved from NBC to CBS
Brooklyn Nine-Nine, moved from Fox to NBC
Last Man Standing, moved from ABC to Fox
American Dad, moved from Fox to TBS
Futurama, moved from Fox to Comedy Central
Yeah the Family Matters/Step by Step thing was rather awkward, and then CBS attempted to emulate what ABC had done with TGIF by launching CBS Block Party on Friday nights, and paired those aforementioned shows with new sitcoms “The Gregory Hines Show” and “Meego” (Bronson Pinchot as an alien in suburbia). Yeah, it flopped BIG time.

Scrubs moved from NBC to ABC for its final season.

Mystery Science Theater 3000 moved from Comedy Central to The Sci-Fi Channel (now SYFY), then was Kickstarted and 2 new seasons were picked up by Netflix. A 13th season premiered last year on The Gizmoplex, the show’s new in-house streaming service.

How could I forget that Whose Line Is It Anyway? It started off as a British program before ABC picked up the American version, just to move later to the CW. I haven't seen the newer episodes but is it still the same funny skits like its ABC counterpart?

Yes it’s great!

Yes. Pretty much the same cast except it's hosted by Alisha Tyler instead of Drew Carey.
