The Smashing Pumpkins - Tarantula

What are your thoughts on the new single from The Smashing Pumpkins, "Tarantula", off their forthcoming album Zeitgeist? I really like it.

(And yes, I'm aware that James Iha and D'Arcy weren't/aren't involved.)

I am loving it. Even if Iha and D'arcy aren't on it, it's no shock that it still sounds strong. Corgan wrote and recorded most of the Pumpkins first two albums (Gish and Siamese Dream) and was still the main songwriter throughout the bands history. Funny to think that when the Pumpkins first came out they were accused of sounding "too glossy" and "not punk" enough by the alternative audience. Now, we all couldn't be more thankful to have them back.

Indeed. I hope they'll be appearing on several of the late night talk shows soon to promote the new album.
