It was released by The Monkees (by then, a trio) in 1969. I can't find any info on other musicians other than Nesmith, although many songs recorded and credited to the band by then were Nesmith, Jones, or Dolenz solo efforts.

Nesmith released a newer version under his own name in 1970.
